I’m starting this thread for the things people rave over, but which leave us wondering what’s wrong with them.
It’s doesn’t just have to be Hi-Fi or music. Anything can count
The first thing that made me think of this thread we seeing Fuerteventuranon the telly, I hate the Canaries. The landscape looks like a pile of ash from a coal fire. The people are horrible scoundrels who would slit your throat for a Euro. The buildings and complexes are atrociously built and painted horrible colours. There’s no bloody vegetation on most of it. Food prices are high and the food s shite, the weather is often cloudy. It’s a 5 hour flight. It attracts the plebs.
Karl Pilkington famously said that they reminded him of being on the moon but he thought the moon would be better. I’d rather holiday on the surface of the sun than go to the Canaries.

SUV motors which What Car was raving over two or three years back. These over large inefficient gas guzzlers will be around a long time clogging up ever narrower parking spaces and possibly/hopefully depreciating rapidly too.

Everything is overa'turd imho. I tought it was me that was a moaning twat but its the fact that everyting is shite overa'turd. Majority of those old brands that bear no resemblance to the quality they used to be.

Dyson as a brand are vastly overrated. He lost my respect when he started cheapo manufacture in India.

Dyson as a brand are vastly overrated. He lost my respect when he started cheapo manufacture in India. We have a DC03 from 1999 which needed a new belt and clutch overhaul last year. Plastics not the strongest but even this smaller model was far better than the Electrolux we had before (it came with me as I had it when single). In 2002 or so, I bought a DC07 Root Cyclone and this blasted thing clamps itself to the carpet when running and is more difficult to push and pull around. The motor blew up last year (commutator brushes wore out and crumbled with sparks into the motor bearings) but I was able to find a third party but identical looking motor for well under twenty quid. Grubby job to dismantle the thing and fit it but not impossible for me. new motor filter and clutch belt and it's as good as new and FAR cheaper than a ton or more for a modern style replacement (cheaper vacuums have caught up now I feel).
I must say the current Dyson stuff is so far up the collective tail pips it's untrue. Fans which look stylish but to me don't seem to move the air in practise any better than a conventional type, hair styling and drying accessories which look to be a total joke, although I must admit I have no hair worth poncing around with these days (it ain't shaved like it was when Andr'e had his down his back, but it's not worth messing with).

Americans.
They really are thick and annoying. Brash and tasteless too with no subtlety or sense of humour. They also think they and their country are the best there is when half of them aren’t even civilised.
