Well I thought I'd join here so I can post on this thread. Firstly both myself and my brother are well p#ssed off with Black Lives Matter daubed all over football kits and badges on tv sports presenters. They even had them on Sky Sports Racing and my brother sent an email complaining that there was no need for politics in racing. A reply was received a couple of days later stating that the BLM has nothing to do with politics, well I beg to differ. Today in the Express, Anne Widdecombe writes about their website, 'dismantling capitalism, defunding the police, in short a Marxist and anarchist organisation. I'd also like to mention, who went out and captured many of the slaves all those years ago, yes you've guessed it, the blacks themselves. Are they holding their hands up and saying sorry, of course not, and I'm sure slavery still goes on in Africa as it did hundreds of years before the white man got there. Are these supporters of BLM just trying to change history or are they living in a make believe land? Have to agree with Engy's post regarding the Burnley fan 'breaking the law'. This country is supposed to be about free speech, and yet it is clearly not. I would not mind this BLM if you could also speak out against it. Just for the record, I'm not racist, I believe there are good and bad from all races and I don't mind a joke whether it be at the expense of whites, blacks or any other colour of skin. For God's sake it's a joke, learn to laugh at yourself.

Yes the black slave trade still exists in black countries. Maybe some wierd ethos makes it ok for a black to own a black but not a white to own one ? 🤪 As you stated ...the BLM doesn't seem prepared to address that issue. and to add.... The English and Merrycunt plantation owners would always promote blacks to act as 'foremen' over the other slaves. They did this because of these blacks proclivity and willingness for extreme violence over his fellows men for a position of status and comfort. Basically they were the slave drivers. Not the whites ! Forgotten conveniently. It was common knowledge that the foremen were far more readily brutal in their treatment of other blacks than the owners and of course saved the white owners the unsavoury task of disciplining. In history by the way .... slave hunters who went after escapees were invariably fellow similarly favoured slaves. Their treatment of lower order black was unbelievably brutal ! Maybe 'Do as I say , not as I do' could be adopted as a suitable slogan ? Another interesting fact is that when US slavery was threatened by the world , thousands of Africans protested because their life there was much preferable to life back in Africa . They didn't want liberating . They were not all treated badly. Some assumed levels of great importance within society and were turfed out into a jobless and resentful society thanks to the anti slavery movement. Still....let's not leerytjhe truth get in ther way of a good thing eh ?

Similar in many ways to Roman slavery. I guess that puts every monument and statue in Rome and any symbols of empire on the tear down list too. Good luck with Hadrian’s wall.

It has been mentioned that the statues should be torn down across the world yes. A bit like ISIS in the middle east did and who everyone condemned to hell and back.

Watched Burnley rag a 1-0 against a shit Watford team. They outplayed us for 60 minutes but their finishing is abysmal. We now look like the team we really are. Under financed, under managed at board level and under manned as a consequence. We cant even fill the subs bench ! The club is in a better position financially than most other clubs and with ZERO debts ! Yet we number less than 20 first team regulars. Unknown of ever before in the top flight. Dyche really is a bloody magician !

Look at this: www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/trump-requests-toppled-confederate-statue-put-back-up-in-dc/2343633/I think Trump is right on his approach to public monuments and protesters, yet there seems to be blanket condemnation from the media. Surely it’s doubly important to avoid mass gatherings and yet they’ve been allowed to literally run riot. Despite the press coverage, I think he’s going to gain many votes with his approach, last thing the world needs is him being re-elected so I just hope he gets his way and squashes this nonsense well before the election.

Think we can safely say after the last two nights and events since lockdown (sic) that this nation is now effectively lawless. Shame , but what other conclusion can we come to ? The law , and respect for the law is non existent. People are doing whatever they want without any fear whatsoever of any legal consequences. The black mobs in London obviously now have achieved total Immunity . With cops running scared. I've never known England like this before. Frightening. Oh for the day we have a government with some balls ! 🙄

I'm old enough (and so are you) to remember the Brixton and Toxteth riots, the Poll Tax riots, and the 2011 riots. The problem with the laws around coronavirus is that a) they keep changing and b) they rely on people acting sensibly. When the rule was 'stay at home' people mostly did, and the same rules applied across the UK. Now, each country has different rules and different timescales for lifting restrictions. It doesn't help that every day the tabloids are saying 'get out and party!' then condemning anyone who does. Let's hope we have a spell of bad weather to calm everyone down.

The government has today said its reluctant to close the effected beaches as they want the public to work with them. Whhen its bloody obvious that they're not ! More wimpy cowardly behaviour without any consideration for locals , wildlife or disease.
