I’m thinking aloud here, and it’s just as applicable to myself, but have you ever thought about getting a modelling airbrush? Stuff like filling in missing bits of lettering and correcting the odd blemish should be possible with practice. I keep toying with the idea.
I also wondered about a transfer/decal printer., but haven’t open anything about either so far.

I know a place that can screen print back on but its costly. My eyes are no good for doing it myself. The worse ever case of fragile text were the LEAK 'STEREO 30/70'

The Dual R+R was on my mind all last night, id really love that, there was also an all silver one. They are dead easy to service providing the Idler wheel is ok, i think you can get the spool tyres & main capstan drive belt.
Its the plinth/Lid & especially that Silver Reel are in such good condition.

Id have had that if it were the '9000', that's the '9100' i never thought these looked right with the black sliders and press buttons because they did not match the coloured controls like the '9000' did. same with the '9200' they put black ones on that too. The thing was the coloured ones started cracking over time because of the pigment in the colour. I used to know one of the TANDBERG service engineers in Leeds but that was a long time ago. Gotta admit i do prefer the classic mechanical cross controls the early machines had. I think the '3400' was the last machine to use them. Only thing i didnt like about 70's TANDBERG was the Aluminium finish, it was quite poor on the Tape machines & Amps. But nothing is gonna look a quality finish to me unless it's Japanese. Shame really good machines i could have gone pick that up it being in Sheff www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186429557250?

Is it worth that in ANY currency? Since Turkish Lira were re-valued, I doubt it.

They are 'D5' not 'DM5'. 'D5' were great speakers. The things is that pair are cobbled together. even though one of those tweeters that says B&W on it is not from that speaker nor is the deformed D150/SS woofer. However ive seen the Square tweeter used on late versions 'D5' used FANE tweeters www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196380694314?
