Been thinking about that user name. 'Classic Rock' is a good name really when it comes to rock bands, kinda puts pay all the shite small time Prog bands of the past, cos they are far from Classic LOL. If people ask me what music im into i think im gonna take that on.

Prog is a Pigeonhole. Yep i do personally believe that 1973 is the end of the line for that particular pigeon hole but at least i dont go saying that if you dont like prog your not worthy like a lot do. its the people that hold obscure prog up higher than any other music, in all reality it just isnt. Might sound strange but this behaviour i constantly seen put me off obscure prog. |

I have a great dislike with class Levels in society, the same apples to pigeon holes in Rock Music in which a lot take on a pigeon hole & create an Elitism. Classical music buffs could actually be the worse offenders.. I do have my own personal views on what constitutes crap & what doesnt but that is down to personal preference its not a ticket to tell the whole world that everyone else taste in music is inferior. You do actually get this in the Hi-Fi Fraternity looking down on people with lesser quality/price equipment.

Not sure why I thought of it but it kind of sums up at least a good part of my collection although it's far from exclusive. Before that I used Audio_man and still have that on some forums I hardly visit. I also used Hi-Fivinyljunkie on Ebay before I changed it but still have that name on Discogs. Actually there is a fair amount of music that falls under 'Classic Rock' I don't care for much. Certainly a lot of that US AOR stuff from the 80s.
