I like the multi-rib '124' mat too and used it on the 125 as well as the 160mk2 here. The mk2 Thorens mat wasn't so good I recall. I was able to get hold of a heavy *Avon* mat not long ago as I loved it forty odd years back - I still do

'TD160/I & II Should be the same mat as the top photo. The 'TD125', early 'TD166',TD145' & 'TD147' should also be the same. Also on late 'TD150 MKII' which was replaced by the 'TD160' in 1972

The lower pic is the preferred one here. The top one has little real record support and is very thin I remember. I thought all TD150's and the 124 came with the lower mat as you've pictured it? The top pic mat is the TD160/166 and 125mk2 version I believe.
I think that's what you say above, but my old brain needs to order it more

The bottom one is what i use. Yes The TD124 Mk.2 came with the lower mat as did the 'TD125 Mk.1. The the above one is thinner & ofc the bottom matt has more under record support.

I’ve never used a rubber mat since the Dual 505 in 1986
