THE WHO - A QUICK ONE (Still sealed 1995 Edition)
This was Townshend's foray into the Concept ideas with the last track, the 9 minute: "A QUICK ONE, WHILE HE'S AWAY" first performed on THE ROLLING STONES ROCK AND ROLL CIRCUS December 1968.

I've bought a vinyl record album - YIKES, he's gorn bonkers!!! I've been again enjoying 10CC's albums on and off recently and one song bugs me as there's a slight audible drop-out on 'Old Wild Men' which once noticed, I've kind of tuned into it and it's there on all the digital versions I have as well as Spotify and YouTube. I tried to find my original bought vinyl copy of Sheet Music and of course it went in my vinyl purge twenty odd years ago to save a heavy box or two when we moved here (my now valuable plum label LZ III and IV went the same way). I've not paid much for it and hope it's in acceptable playable condition. This copy has a lyric sheet which I can't remember if early copies had this or not as I think mine didn't but came in a 'Decca' inner sleeve (it's a Decca pressing). It's cheap enough to reject if it's no good however but here's hoping (I'm nowhere near as fussy as Andr'e in this and it's just to find out if the tape always had this artefact on it when the thing was first cut and pressed.

I think the last dozen or so albums I have bought still haven’t been played. Probably 90 out of the last 100 CDs are the same too. And I doubt I could name more than 3 of them. I just forget I bought them.

I've also bought the Sheet Music 2007 CD and hope it's not been 'mastered' to hell and back (I don't think this bands albums have, but we'll see). The later two before Godley & creme left sound fine in their original Dutch CD releases to me.
Now to book half an hour when I can play them on the main rig, fit a new needle (a B&O MMC20CL actually which I've not used in years) and wind up the turntable.......

The wife went to see 10cc about 10 years ago. Eric Stewart used to be in WAYNE FONTANA AND THE MINDBENDERS, Graham Gouldman was also in the back end of the MINDBENDERS.
