Team-building.
Bonding with company cocksuckers afraid of losing their job.
Off-work get-togethers. Forced fun events where the person not participating is made pariah not only from management, but fellow workers.
Forced to go to some dipshit company kariokey night.
Should supervisors/employees be mindful of the REASON why a certain employee is not "cheery"/fun at work?
How does one manage workers right not to have fun? (Consider the worker who is recent immigrant and has gone through all sorts of atrocities, or ,say, whose upbringing is serious to belief/religion. Or consider the young buck who is into grunge, forced by an older workforce to groove to "goodtime-y" James Taylor/ Celine Dionne sessions?
Do you buy Amazon ,even fully aware of how abysmally they treat their employees?
Feeling left-out. Excluded.
Discuss.

When your at your break in the company lunchroom, do you suffer the consequences of, say, reading a book whilst the others are clucking inanities like mad grannies?

Im always at war with Management. They would stab you in the back & leave you jobless at the flip of a coin. Turns my gut when i see staff brown nosing it
As for staff, i have nothing to do with them.
I go to work for one thing: MONEY.

Damn right!
...
The reason I bring this up : a French court just sided with the worker who was dismissed from the job for not conforming to the company's required false sunny high-glee.
I remember a lifetime ago wanting to get the best deal on a ghetto blaster (for work use) and going to the big name Japanese audio store parking lot 8 am in the morning to be sure to be first one in at the sale. Management had dragged all the employees out, in their monkey suits, in dead-of-winter cold, to line up and sing the company propaganda song whilst jumping up and down like chickens on a hot plate.
I was somehow reminded of a scene from Bridge Over The River Quai ...er Wotsit.

Hows abart some songs about being a work-pidgeon...or abart work in general.
First that comes to mind is Gentle Giant from 3 Friends: "Working all day just like a fucking turkey. What can I say?...WORKING ALL DAY!"

I once had a new role and the boss said to me that socialising outside work was part of the job because it built relationships. I told her the only reason I suffered being around her and the others was because I was being paid. I was not and would never be their “friend”. Why on earth would anyone want to spend any more time than is absolutely necessary with work contacts? It beggars belief.
I’ve also flatly refused to take part in any team-building shite, every time it comes up. The last one was a beach clean up, which isn’t a worthless exercise: Just not one is want to do alongside a bunch up dip-shits whom I’d never even acknowledge exist unless I was being paid to do so.
People I work with still seem to clamour for social meet-ups that involve overnight stays because they are spread across the UK. Can you imagine risking Covid just so you can see someone in person and have a meal or drink afterwards? FFS we spend all day on computers in virtual meetings and the silly twats never turn their cameras on!

It is outright impossible to be a friend with them outside work never mind in. When i see pictures of the shower of shit work force brown nosing at christmas doo's i physically feel sick, false as the hills the lotta em. Ive had it up to the back teeth with managment for years, if i can whistle blow or drop in the shit with their bosses i will. They know & they tread very carefully around me which makes me happy knowing ive got them by the bollox. Playing games however with them you have to be very smart & not allow them to get you on anything that can cost you your job.
