Pestilence sounds very fitting, Prog the 'BLACK DEATH' of the music world.
I don't even call what i have Prog anymore it's just Rock Music. Dissociation can be a great thing, when it comes to pathetic Genre pigeonholes it is.
Now i understand the reason for Pigeon hole'in is to group certain styles together help the people that know nothing choose but when this Music elitism come along that when it gets my back up.
I detest anything that can be used as an Elitism the same as i hate everyday classes in society. We all piss in the same pot no mater what. It's nice to own something of high quality/Luxury but when people use such things to look better than other this also grinds my gears.

Prog (Music with the stupid name) is pretty much my staple diet fer mi lugholes, but there is so much utter crap i find it unbelievable really. The tiny amount i keep on CD just proves to ones self that Prog is not as great as people claim it to be but that's just my personal view of it all. I do like to think i have a good ear for what is good & what isnt, i 100% trust my judgement. I suppose part of it is what qualities you look for in the moosak

Well Wallesch does agree with you to a point - vast majority of new pwog lacks substance. And having to wallow thru this mess to get to a gold nuggett or two ....is not actually fun.
Question is, in the end is it worth the time and bother.
Pwog giveth. The hoi polloi taketh away.
