Just wondering what else lol get up to.
As I’m starting to feel better and better I’m far more active. I might well look for more to do.
Work has taken up a huge amount of time recently and lots of thought has gone into work stuff. Other stuff I’ve got up to includes
DIY seems to be back in my life
Repairing stuff and learning new skills is also back. Our garden had a small sundial with a nymph underneath. The dial was snapped off and the nymph had lost one wing. Also in tremble flaky condition.
She’s like new now. I rebuilt the broken bits using a modelling putty callled Milliput. It’s brilliant stuff. Lots of uses as it’s rock hard, adheres strongly and can be sanded very fine.
My other hobby is aviation, watching live streams and collecting scale models.
Anyone else care to share

Not done a great deal of late apart from get shut of stuff. I have an ingrained OCD thing where i dwell on Logical order (to me) & neatness in collection & stuff, also cannot stand large collections of things. Only a nut case like myself would understand. Still not come across a bungalow yet but that does not deter me from still doing stuff in this place. The tiles i put in the kitchen, i grouted them in white grout but decided to take that out & replace with light grey grout which looks better. These tiles in the below link are the same ones i.pinimg.com/originals/a4/ff/6a/a4ff6aff789bd1971fb7db58712e44f2.png

It’s surprising how important the right colour grout is with tiles. I’ve often only found out after it’s dried that I got it wrong. BTW I completely “get” the order thing. I used to drive myself nuts with alphabetical order for CDs and records because it’s a pain to put stuff back.
I’ve never been happier since I organised my lot around music types. Now, if I’m in a certain mood, all the stuff I want to choose from is there together. Same for my wife. All CDs stacked horizontally too, so I can read the titles. Our favourites are also in those wooden rotating jobbies too. Music is on so much more often just because it’s accessible to fins and tactile to use.
I also get the need to de-clutter. I’ve had massive and costly clear outs loads of times. I seem to be cured since moving here though. The restlessness has left me. I think it might be having lots more storage TBH. All neatly organised too.
I know you’ll get your bungalow and im really hoping it makes life more enjoyable. A bungalow and early retirement are a lot more than lots of folk will ever get. I’d hate to be one of those who works to pension age then pegs out. I’d be more pissed off about not getting back what I paid in than I would about dying lol.

I want to stack the CD's horizontally but would have to make a bespoke system to do so as i have some fat Digipacks, my ideal would be no Digipacks because i hate them they are prone to damage. Ive replaced every single Jewel case with brand new ones & all clear trays are now old type Black trays that looks miles better with exception to the German Repertoire editions which are White as original.

Can you stay this time please? Too bloody tired still to do anything. Work's been hectic this time of year and may carry on after the exam season mid June as year 10 have practise runs. The turntables are there to be checked, serviced, used a bit and some sold for singles/78 use I suspect, but I just can't get the enthusiasm. I do need to get the workbench in the garage cleared so I can start.

Those digipaks are a PITA. I have a handful that don’t like the slots. Most of the fat ones seem ok in the double CD slots but not all.

Believe it or not i used to be a keen gardener when i had the last house that im hoping to get into again when we move. I used to collect 1960's/1970's gardening books that i still have a handful. Nothing like sitting in a loverly garden in full bloom no traffic just the sound of birds.

I’ve done nothing at all with it yet, so it’s uninspiring, I seem to lack vision when it comes to gardens. Next year I will be doing stuff inside (new kitchen and bathroom). 2025 will be gardens, so I have time to get some inspiration. You will likely be gardening before me. A lovely thing to look forward to

While I've been working (just another few weeks after half term and then a break for the summer until the next round of mock exams) herself has been in the garden, trimming shrubs which have overgrown their position. The former owners planted a row of bamboo a couple of years before we came and the worst thing we did was not to pull it all out as the roots are terribly invasive to our neighbour as well as our back lawn. Neighbour had a huge concrete foundation based patio laid and the builder cleared the roots from her side and put in concrete gravel boards to prevent ingress. if we're not to move, we'll need to invest a few grand in digging them up and re-laying our garden path and lawn.

Just done a bit of painting on the garage door and handrail using Hammerite garage door paint. It’s been a good while since I used this product and it’s so much better today it’s made my day, one coat and done! That’s never happened before with anything.

Good job As for the house i like those Black Ash UPVC doors with chrome hardware but the frames must also be black. Costs a lotta cutter to replace a full house tho.
