I expected this album to be just yet another one of those fawning Nick cover-collections, to be politely filed away with all the others that have gone before. But this is actually so much more.
Highlights for me are Katherine Priddy's 'I Think They're Leaving Me Behind', and John Grant's interpretation of 'Day Is Done' - both astonishing renditions breathing new life into his music.
Just another timely reminder of how wonderful and timeless these songs are.
