Cos cds ain't collectable and can go fuck. ..... Scored three skirts terday: SALLY OLDFIELD - CELEBRATION (germ press) CATHY YOUNG - SPOONFUL OF CATHY YOUNG '69 folky (psych) with killer 6 min title twack having out-of-world electric guit solo. On Mainstream record label, so very collectable - not like cd gubbins. CAROLYN HESTER -SAME this is one of first Greenwich Village folkies that wasn't solo performance but had back-up band. With a young Bob Dylan years beefore his first record ('66?) This is '62. That would make this Dylan's first official studio session. (Haven't played it yet so I'm guessing its just him on harmonica???

Records are fucked & not worth the shelf space. Every time you play one they degrade
However you are totally wrong CD's are collectable..

Could have save yer the money but you clearly know everything The funny thing is fans expect solo albums to stand up to the quality of the collective band they were/are from but never do, only obsessive fans think to the contrary

DON HO - AGAIN!
You audio diploids don't know anyfink when it comes to music.
Don was THE BAGG!
Copy I FINALLY found is all banged-up and mold on cover, but I'm happy to score this bone.
You fools grapple with mundanity, day in day out, but when a true jewel loike this album turns up, you lot are totally ambivalent.
Walls asseverates (states positively) that "Again!" lp blows your Beiber/Nickleback/Buble turds clean out of the water.
Fools: Wallace execrates the persons you have become.

I often wonder why you are so dedicated at your age, if i was in my late 70's i wouldnt be putting everything into record collection, they would have been sold years ago.
Over the last year or so ive spent thousands of pounds mass buying CD's in which i have made quite a mess of the wants list i compiled but have basically hit a brick wall where i just cannot locate the others, there is actually still quite a lot. Its a matter of cost, Rarity or just basically locating in mint condition, thats put a halt to it. but if im honest i did think to myself last week why am i even bothering spending so much money, wasting so much time searching for CD' when i can be dead within 20 years. im desperate for a quiet laidback life nowadays. Big collections are also something ive always tried to avoid. At least this might give me time to gey my brain into gear.

I always get to a point where the “stuff” I have is just too much for me and I has to get rid. I never see it coming but it always happens. It’s limited and even wiped out my record and CD collections many times.
I’m very happy for people who have big collections and enjoy it because it’s all about whatever floats their boat. I just seem to live more happily with less “stuff” in my life.

Exactly the same here. I don't know what it is but when CD collections get out of hand my brain also does. Om more than happy to have a tiny cabinet with a selected 100 CD's than i would a rack with a 1,000 CD's. Couldnt settle for a dozen cos id be branded an Audiophile then

I’ve decided for me that it has to be some bespoke storage for both. Has to be accessible but not visible. Building it into alcoves is the only way I’m going to settle. For now I’ve just boxed most of my CDs up and put them away.
Having 2 large sofas and a chair in the living room has reduced the sense of space, so I have to claim more back from the other half of the space. I’d have preferred 1 sofa and 2 chairs but we both like to lounge on a sofa at times so it’s a compromise I’m having to make for now.
