I thought it might make for an interesting thread, so here goes…
Well it’s really for both of us but there are 3 die cast model aeroplanes still boxed up for Christmas morning.
I’m also getting a Blu Ray of “Universe” with Brian Cox. I’ve seen it loads of times but I still watch it on YouTube. My wife’s getting some perfume but she’s already opened it.
I bought 3 identical surname plaques on our family’s tartan background for us, my sister and my brother. I love our family’s tartans.
Anyone else go big or getting anything fun?

Is that a Northumberland Tartan? The funeral i went yesterday had one because that is where he was from, its not like a Scot Tartan more black & White Check.
I don't actually need anything However i never decided on which Acoustic guitar i wanted & still dont. This is one area i am terrible at, She doesnt want for anything so im a bit stumped tbh.

My dad was Scots, from the West Highlands. Hence the family love of Westies lol.

Being free of work for Christmas should be a bonus. I never take leave at Christmas because it’s so hard to go back at this time of year.

We kinda buy presents for the both of us and we are both still into die cast airliner models. Christmas brought us
1. Another Gemini Jets Airbus A380 (the Emirates 50th Anniversay model) 2. A JC Wings Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in Air Canada livery 3. A Gemini Jets Boeing 737 Max 8 in classic Westjet livery 4. A Gemini Jets Boeing 767-300 in classic Westjet livery
I also bought my wife a framed pic of her mother. She died when my wife was 3 or 4 and the only pic she had access to, was quite damaged. I spent a good while photoshopping all the damage and got it printed and framed for her.
She got me both the DVD and Blu Ray of BBC’s Universe (with Brian Cox). I love cosmology so these will get lost of play.

There was a series of short Documentary films that ran between 1959-1969 called 'A LOOK AT LIFE'. I watched the episode 'A YEAR FOR A DAY' 1961 with the wife & told that is exactly why i have zero interest in Christmas these days
It's a look into the business of Christmas and the individuals who spend most of the year contributing to the festivities something that just does not happen anymore nothing is made here its all shite from China. People do not look on Christmas as we did when we were younger.

People look down on me as some kind of nutter when i go on one of my Vintage spending spree with anything to do with the 1960's/1970's This is because these were the best time of my life which was world apart from the shite times we live in today.
