Nice too. The standard ones are a total eyesore. That chimney great was inside the fitted wardrobes I took out. I was going to put a period fireplace in, but they take up room and it was only for decorative purposes. When I saw the ornate vent, it was a better solution for me.

Also got this yesterday for the bay in the main bedroom. This is a pic from the listing. No way I would have purple walls and grey carpet lol. Grey reminds me of the cardboard bungalow and it really made me feel “grey” too. The carpet in the pic also looks tired and a bit scruffy. Not a pic I’d choose for a new item listing on eBay but a few sellers are using it.

Be a cheap carpet. This is something i need to be looking into for the new place, I can put more money into being smaller rooms. Wool are the best carpets but very expensive. Hard wearing quality are Nylon 6/6..

Cant for the life of me find mine, i only used them a couple months ago. probably packed them away with stuff Any way these were cheap enough. One thing i DO NOT do is solder wires onto Loudspeaker unit terminals, especially tweeterz www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285749777116

I rally don’t mind purple as an accent colour on cushions, rugs etc. it’s just painting walls, doors and ceilings in strong colours that I can’t stand. Grey gives you a few options and purple is one. Orange really goes well too, but in small doses.
As long as your missus is happy and you are both in a place you can relax, that’s all that really matters. You’ll be in and settled whilst I’m still having upheaval here. Bathroom and central heating will cause chaos. Ceilings to sort too
Then there’s front and back gardens which just have no character or style. I hate dealing with gardens because I don’t like grass, soil or plants. But then I hate concrete and paving My wife hates fake grass so I have no idea what to do to lift them. I don’t want to spend loads because we never use gardens, but want some outside appeal without any major maintenance.

I hate soldering tweeters too, I’ve never fried one yet, but it’s always a bit of a stressor.

O god don't mention Gardens she wants a Garden shed the size of fort knocks then even before she knows where shes going. Another job i could do without. A shed this size would cost thousands so ive go no option but the do it myself. Sheds themselves dont cost a lot to make, its the cladding that does. Where as if it were just a Tools shed like i planned i would have just bought one.

At least you aren’t going down the plastic shed route. Bought sheds are often “fur coat and no knickers” with crappy, this OSB floors on 2x1 softwood. I’ve bought a few in my time as part of a quick renovation. None have been any good. None have been worth what I paid either.

OSB is fine as long as its 19mm. The framing needs to no less than 3"x2" for walls
