I suppose the popular answer is in a Pub
This is true for me
At the time i worked at the steel works, she worked as a Nurse. I never went into pubs but on this particular afternoon it was my last shift before my holiday & a couple of the lads wanted to go down down celebrate one of the old boys retirement so off we popped. The other half did pretty much the same being her mates Birthday. The thing is id left the ex-wife 6 month prior to this & her dumped her womanising bloke a few month. She admitted to me that when i worked in the record shops early 80's that she used to hang a round in there all the time cos she fancied me, but me being me at the time never noticed cos birds were not my interest just music.
So there you go met her 3rd September 1999 which is spooky being a SPACE 1999 fan, The story being a massive explosion on the moon rips it away from its orbit on The 3rd September 1999 which was the future in 1975 lol.
Been with her 24 years, 3 months, 1 week, and 3 days

Yes in a pub, but it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. In fact I spent the next several weeks trying to avoid her. I don’t think she exactly like me either, thinking me very aloof, bordering on rude.
We were set up on a blind date when I thought I was meeting my mates and she thought she was meeting hers. We ended up seeing each other very differently when we were alone together and thatwas a shock to both of us. We each knew very quickly that we were meant to be together.
Oh, I forgot to mention that for at least 3 years before this I’d passed within a few yards of her 5 days a week and never noticed her, or her me.

All but a blind date and again first meeting in a pub. Twenty nine years on I still drive her totally bonkers, but she's been amazing and a truly wonderful Mum.
