TURNTABLE: Never truly got on with any at all, their has always been something ive picked fault enough not to be able to live with or even own one again.
AMPLIFIER: For years i loved my A&R 'A60' But never liked the look of it, typical boring cottage industry British looks, For that it was a love/Hate relationship. My real attachment is the TRIO 'KA2000a' i love everything about it, the looks, the sound, the super neat internals, individual PCB's for each Amplifier section & ofc reliability.
CD PLAYER: Might sound odd but the only one i really got on with was the PHILIPS 'CD104B' but believe me i have never loved & will never love CD players
CASSETTE DECK: Just picked up the one i always loved: TECHNICS 'RS-671USD' Probably one of the most heavily constructed decks ever
REEL TO REEL: Out of all the machines i have had, ive always always love the humble AKAI '4000' They are just perfectly well proportioned & a breeze to use.Yeah ofc there are better spec machines but thats beyond the point why i love them so
SPEAKERS: Big 1970's CASTLE ACOUSTIC Ltd fan but there was always something i did not like about them, again never been a speaker fan as such But if im honest ill probably swap the KEF's i have now for a pair of KEF '104AB' but its no love affair.

Great idea for a thread. I have quite a few attachments.
Turntables: The Xerxes as always been a favourite, but my current deck is something I’m more attached to.
CD players: Sonneteer again, but I’ve also got a strong attachment to the Naim CDI
Amps: likely a toss up between Sonneteer Campion and JVCAX-Z1010TN with an honourable mention for my 1st gen Exposure 3 and 4 and my mk1 KSA50
Speakers (Too many): Reference 3a MM De Capo , Snell JII, Spica Angelus and TC60, Townshend Glastonbury II, Linn Kan, Sara and Isobarik, Naim SBL, Rega Ela.

I've bonded with ALL my effin' stuff and it's a disaster for me 'cos I'm going to suffer pain when I start to thin it all down... Turntables - Garrard 401 I suppose, bloody rumble box that it is (Lord that SME plinth is effin' HUGE sat in its box in the garage currently). Current Rega arms are superbly made and better finished that ever - almost all inside though so often passed by on appearance Digital is all appearances these days as it should be a done deal away from wanky high end overpriced under-performers, but the early 90's top Sony's were nice I have to say and designed/built regardless of cost I just don't know with amps now. I ignored the Quad 33/FM3/303 fifty years ago as it was all Jap big-box bling and expensive Crown boxes, but said Quad has so much charm if used right and the tuner always was excellent at its prime task and with good signal feeding it. Westie, my speaker choice is almost totally opposite to yours as you don't appear to like BASS very much and like projected midrange I think Apart from my beloved ATC 100A's upwards, I really don't know. The domestic market is so full of underperforming bling, I'm looking to ugly pro models now from Neumann and maybe the more conventional looking Genelecs, Kii Threes impressed me and I'm told I must try to hear the D&D 8C amongst others which really do. Vintage KEF 104ab's are great with digital I discovered (no lf mush to flap the drivers around) and I have strong positive vibes regarding the 1970's large IMF models which again, worked best on live FM broadcasts, master tapes and by inference, modern digital without the bass waffle vinyl can have. I'd not have a pair of Elas if you gave them to me (I did try at home, honest - the bass stops at 80Hz dead by design and they shout and spit if I sat too close, the last version with standard box were just 'meh' on anything but folk music i remember!!!) but Juras might be fun if controlled right - Just play that Time Tunnel track by Boris Blank - LOUD All a load of crap init?
