Bloody hell Andr'e, you're mad sir! Well, maybe not, but I simply couldn't do this and, whatever my missus thinks, when we finally come to move, my vinyl and CD collection's coming with us!!!
I try to stream here, but the wireless can be flaky for that and drop-outs can be common. I'm not getting a streamer just yet (the Wiim ones are cheap enough) and the gear needs a bloody good re-think long before then.
I'm 'mad' too, as I spend twenty odd quid on 'Colour of Spring' - new EMI pressing which has been played once and arguably never or rarely ever again and when in the local used record store oggling the playback system, I found a Mercury issue of Sheet Music (so I now have the first three vinyl releases done I believe) and it was this '82 cut that has the first signs of the drop-out I'm banging on about on 'Old Wild Men' at 1:47 or so in...
I do wish you luck on your hopeful move and situation and whatever our agreements and disagreements, I do feel for you. We're kind-of lumbered here as well, but it's nothing like as severe as you have...

To be honest id be happy to get shut of those aswell. Im set for totally streaming now via Bluetooth aptX/LDAC. tbh Dave it's living here that is hampering us the most, won't be long now. Hi-Fi & music used to be everything but wont be much a part of my life when we do move anyway hence convenience will win the day. Honestly a move is a great time to get shot of old baggage. When you consider the space that music collections take up, it’s a no brainer. I’m settled and I have space for my records and CDs but if I ever do move again I would have to look at ditching all the music and DVDs. |

tbh the wife has hundred of her own DVD's & CD's but ive no right to ask her to get shut, thats totally up to her, but shes not mentioned getting rid. She never ever plays them so im guessing they will just be stored away  When you get your bungalow, why not floor the attic? I’d be lost without the attic here. I keep the boxes for everything, so an attic is essential for me. |
