I don’t really have any particular route into the music I like. As a kid I liked the gentler stuff, and shied away from rock music. Folky, country-influenced stuff just seemed like “me”. I doe like some pop music in my teens, but it was short-lived.
My brother was into Prog as I was growing up, so I was exposed to quite a bit of it. It just didn’t appeal to me.
On the other hand, he also liked electronic music. Maybe that was where my liking for electronica came from.

The light programme was on a lot of the day when toddling in the late 50s and so was the record player, so that started it all. So many influences I can't list them all as they mingle together so much now.
