You'll have to look outside the UK, as after Linn, Russ Andrews took on Grace and the 707 was the only one anyone was interested in.
You really want a 714 - proper tonearm that was...

No thanks apart from it being pig ugly.. It has a removable head shell that i so desperately need & also its a straight swap into the Rega mount/Geometry..

It sounded amazing though, but I get your point. Good luck with the search.

I don’t think I could live with the looks of the 714. I’d never heard of it or seen it until now, so I’m grateful for the info.

This arm wasn't taken up by Linn as apparently they got the 707 dirt cheap initially (I was told). The 714 was in a different higher league sonically, despite the slightly sluggish damped feel of the unipivot. I've never used one, but with suitable cartridge I'd give the old Gray clunker some good use (the huge piece of angle-iron the BBC used up till the mid 70's. www.lencoheaven.net/forum/index.php?topic=19238.0I'm on the wrong computer but I do have a ink to the manufacturer. very clever bearing arrangement, something akin to a fluid damped golf ball in a cup from memory

Grace arms seem to be getting far more credit these days. The wooden jobbie reminds me of Pete Riggle’s Woody tonearm. His VTAF is a brilliant improvement team for Rega arms, so the arm did interest me, although th elooks are an issue vtaf.com/index.html#/
