all my Prog CD's are sealed up in bags & chucked in the spare room where all the junk resides.
Make sure you hang on to them for when you come around full circle for the millionth time, and decide yet again that CD's are the dogs bollocks after all.
Wont happen but at least i dont spend idiots money on a deck to play a format that apparently is inferior to CD

I'm with Andre here as I don't like remixes with exception of a lot of Steve Wilson's work. I have to admit i thought the King Crimson 2011 Panegyric pressing were good. Nice sleeve construction & nice labels. Only let down is the imitation Laminate on the 'RED' release. However i only stick to the first four albums..

Hey Stig, I've found my original Brain Salad Surgery! It's not as good as my other version, (the Wife's brothers originally!), hence I've always preferred to play that one.
Stampers are ST-MC-732991-G (Side 1) and 992-G on the other side. It also says 'AT' in the dead wax. Weirdly, it doesn't say where it was printed. Is this the one?

They are correct for a 1st issue but should also say SRC in the dead wax. This is for Speciality Recordings, that's where it was Pressed like i said it a USA pressed record with USA Catalogue number on the label MC 66669. It should be in a UK made sleeve with UK catalogue number K53501. If you have the original Atlantic inner paper sleeve still that's cool. But that's not the Matrix numbers for the UK pressed 1st issue. which was available a bit later.

Is there an MR stamped anywhere? Two companies did the early ones SRC [Speciality recordings] & MR [Monarch recordings]?
