But...you don't like shit like this, you only like the originals or as close to first editions as possible.
Remember?

Cant get originals of those concerts can i! Im trying to drop the cassette deck & be 100% Vinyl. Just one thing with that set is i want to see those record labels. No way on earth will i buy them if they are the usual cop out labels where they look like they have been cut out of a CD cover. Like this Hawkwind jobbie, totally unacceptable. I want something that resembles the original label. £120.00 is a lot of money for the two concerts but i must have them. btw: Aint you got that Glorified Stacker system to be buying off E-Bay .. Surprised the Denon Tuner wasnt the selling point

Pity they didn't just issue Quad mix on a quad LP. I know few have the playback stuff but I have a few Quad LPs that play fine with a stereo cartridge especially if you have a Shibata tip. Guess they have to keep Crosley owners happy.

Why would I do that? I've already got a decent system.
I thought it might make a great option for you. It would get your head out of the skips and bins for a while.

Rather have my head in a skip where good sounding gear is found rather that waste money on utter shite that only brain washed planks buy. However im gonna tell you this just one more time.
I DO NOT BUY HI-FI for the same reasons you do. I buy it for the vintage with no expectations of the sound it creates. It sounds as it sounds. I could use CD or Files for a more detailed resolute sound but i do not want to. So you see you constant bull shite make no difference to me.

So....let me get this straight. You really don't care how the kits sounds? It's all about the aesthetics? So, why are you continually hunting out 'first issues' because they allegedly sound better?
It just doesn't make sense.

It just doesn't make sense. To be fair, lots of things we say and do are inconsistent and don’t make sense when analysed. Our needs with Hi-Fi are no different to many other things. I doubt many of us are clear on our influences and motivations and it would probably take a few hours with a shrink to get to the bottom of them all. For that sort of money, you could buy a lot of kit, so I’d rather be a bit inconsistent and have a nicer Hi-Fi lol. Hifi motivations is a good idea for a thread. I might start one at some point.

It just doesn't make sense. Wrong again. I do care but i have no expectations of the equipment. Yes early pressings do sound better within thw 100% analogue domain but that's nothing to do with the equipment. In case your having a tad of trouble with the no expectations bit, It means i know what the gear i use sounds like & dont expect it to sound like some modern tat. I still need quality vinyl, but it not just about the sound it other release details like better quality sleeves & heavier vinyl, not a repress that may be from a 2nd generation master tape, or a fresh Acetate taken from that etc.. which all ties in with the vintage.. I believe that 1st issues are the ultimate Analogue pressing that sound best played back on the equipment of the day. tbh i don't know why you keep up that clever i know best crap you picked up of Rudy.
