I'm referring, of course, to 'Tea For The Tillerman 2' just released by Yufuf/Cat Stevens.
It's a celebratory release, some 50 years on. However, at first it was a strange one for me. Having had the original album burnt into my DNA over all these years, my brain struggled to engage with the re-imagined songs. I'm getting there though.
On 'Father and Son' a modern-day Yusuf is singing to his 'son'......Cat from 50 years ago. Hair-raising!
I can't fault the vinyl and packaging. I wonder if re-sealable and compostable outer bags are about to become the norm?

I elected to buy the vinyl mainly because that's the format I most associate with him, and I thought it was worth a punt.
The SQ is absolutely stunning.

I must admit all my new vinyl purchases have been great. Probably only 20 albums or so, but everu one has been silent and is a super recording. No warps, no flaws, a good weight and totally silent.

I might grab a copy of Stevie’s reccy myself. I have a few albums I’m listening to right now and I don’t want to buy something else just yet, but will grab before Xmas.

One problem with new vinyl is a lot of Unofficial & Bootlegs.Prog Release of Obscure 70's LP's is rife with em.. I bought some new CREAM reissues once, my god was like listening to sandpaper
