So many sexy turntables out there, you’d expect advertisers to be onto it.

Old ProJect '2' deck was a good one back when...
I forget the ad but one has a 'fairy-lit' SP25 deck going backwards as shown in the ad. No idea how they managed that unless the vid was deliberately reversed as the motor is almost impossible to assemble wrongly (I think, but then, I've never tried to deliberately do this). Can't be more specific on the ad itself, sorry...
Years ago, there was a Gyro with Zeta minus counterweight (effin' ell) carving into a record with collapsed stylus...
Oh yeah while I just about remember - the Queen (band) film had a 401/SME/M75-ED in it in the record company chap's office. 'Freddy' turned the volume down by adjusting the fine speed control...

The cheap ones are made down to a price and have had issues, but for lower Linn Lp12 money you get something serious with superior build and sound. Frankly I view any plank of MDF with some scepticism but from the perspective of owning and being able to afford superior designs.

The well know TV ad that people should remember was the Kellogs Special K with the Gyrodec playing Brian Ferry " Lets stick together" I often just listen to telly. I’ve heard that ad lots of times and never seen the Gyro.

My mistake it was Kellogs 'Start'

The SHPOCK ad were the wife walks in & catches him taking photos of the cat in his under kecks. Well just for a second at the very beginning you can see a THORENS 'TD160 Mk.1' in the corner.

Touch of Frost is on the Box. Super-fi Audio shop with piles of 1990's yawn fest Japanese gear, saw a Revolver & Nad turntable on the shelf.

Watchfinder Ad Pioneer 'PL12D' Yep, seen that one before. Been a while though. I used to love nice watches, Nowadays I just don’t see the point. They are like steam engines: Outlived their time.

Vinyl is a fad at the end of the days. You either used it from a young age pre CD. cos no way on earth can a young un prefer vinyl being born in a CD age.
