A While ago i bought the special Edition clear Vinyl of Gong 'Flying Teapot' & 'Angel Egg' i was puzzled that there was no signs of the last album in the Trilogy 'You'! I found this quite odd as it was included in the then CD/LP box set. After asking around a few dealers i was told no seperate release. Tonight i was looking thru some shops online for that Yes 'Fragile' im missing to twice come across the 'You' clear LP edition that i was told was not so.. I am absolutely ferkin' fuming with anger here now & its apparently out of press..

No idea about a vinyl recut of You, but I always found this a bit murky sounding. The recent CD issue (sorry) did seem to remove much of the murk, which means if a vinyl cut comes along, it'll sound better than it ever did before on this medium I reckon. Shamal and what came after was never an issue. Too late for you Andr'e, but Leave It Open sounded horrible in first vinyl cuts but I think later issues may be better (not sure of format thoiugh as I doubt it sold that well).

Well i can say 'Flying Teapot' & 'Angel Egg' on these new Remaster LP's are better than the CD's i have. Im not just saying that cos they are CD's. i so need this LP to complete the set. As this is sold out everywhere & the other two are not, it must be popular. Its certaily my fav Gong album. I scoured the internet all last night in the hope someone might have one left but nothing, seems to be very expensive but its not even listed on Discogs, the place i was hoping i might get one but nop. Just something does not seem right to me.I cannot even find a picture of it ont tinternet.

A lot of careful work seemed to be done on many early 'Manor' recordings which could sound murky to me on original pressings at least. No idea how the latest issues of Angels Egg differ, but 'You' on remastered CD (I think it was Paschal at Audio Archiving again, but cannot be sure) was a revelation to me anyway. No idea about an equivalent vinyl release though - sorry.

They are 2018 Remaster. Re: the latest 50th Anniversary 12 CD Box set 'LOVE FROM THE PLANET GONG' The original Producer: Simon Heyworth has done the work, he owns Super Audio Mastering. www.superaudiomastering.combtw: that box set contains the 'YOU' Quadraphonic mixes.

Nice venue he has. I think Simon 'did' the noughties King Crimson stereo remasterings too amongst loads of 'Virgin' work.

Simnon was the top man at Virgin back in the day with Tom Newman who did the Mke Oldfield albums.I know of Simon from LP's such as the Gong related Steve Hillage 'Fish Rising' & Cyrille Verdaux Clearight Symphony & Tim Blake also those Anthony Philips LP's..
