Just found this interview with my dear and sadly deceased friend Richard Carpenter. Go two minutes or so in and you'll see him pictured in front of a black lacquer ATC 100A active monitor. I miss him very much as he was a very kind, considerate and gentle man and I miss them very much too. Glad he had fifteen years of daily use out of them before he passed away. No idea of their fate though as his son phoned me to kind-of offer them back but no way could I afford them, let alone use them here.

Ive seen him before Dave was he an actor aswell? Yeah he was, as said in the interview. I first knew him in the mid 70's when at KJ W1 (I think I sold him his LP12/thin-pillar Ittok in 1980) and a friendship blossomed. He never met my wife, but when he phoned up he'd chat away merrily to her as if they'd known each other for years. Lovely thing that and something I just cannot do for love nor money with peole I don't know well.

Don't generally watch modern movies but 'Pearl Harbour' is on, the bit where the japs open fire on the harbour is truly fantastic filming, but obviously some CGI in there.
If it wernt for all the usual sloppy kissing & the machio bullshit it would be a great film..

Ive seen him before Dave was he an actor aswell? His face is familiar. Looking up his credits he had parts in a number of major series through the 1960s. The guy was a major TV writer through the 70s and 80s The creator of Catweazle, Robin of Sherwood and several others. Even wrote books based on his series. I still think Robin of Sherwood was the best screen drama of the legend. Of course music by Clannad.

What i truly cannot be doing with is major far fetched modern Sci-Fi Movies. Some of the shit they portray for the future will never happen. ffks we cant even get a reliable wi-fi connection in 2020 never mind any technology derams LOL. More chance of the word ending by some catasrophic Eco disaster before any hi-tech world materialises.
I see the future as some bare bones peasants style world but not peasants. Computers stored & underwaps as a thing of the past. We will be forced to live like this, Forget about daily trips to Mars bulshite. Jesus can you imagine the impact on the atmosphere also the carbon emissions creating liquid hydrogen from daily launches.
