I haven’t watched an episode of The Avengers on DVD in about 14 or 15 years but I watch it all the time on telly. Same goes for most of my dvds. You expect one day they will never be screened again, but they always are. |

I struggle to notice picture quality after a couple on minutes. I listen to programmes more than I watch them. I think I’ve always been like that.

It looked ok until I saw the token blacks cast in ludicrously improbable roles. As soon as the PC Woke brigade start rewriting history like that, I turn off. It’s just bloody stupid. Black people back them were either slaves, or back in Africa. It’s an insult to the memory of those who were slaves to pretend they were just another part of the nobility.
I get the same hump when they try to cast a woman in a man’s role, like they were toying with over Bond. It doesn’t do anybody any good, and in fact it antagonises whole swathes of people who should never support the political Right, but at least it makes the wealthy, lefty, trendy intellectuals feel good.
Woke needs calling out and stamping out. It only benefits the people at the top because it turns everybody else against each other.
Sorry for the rant about the pic, but it early does my head in.
