This can be very embarrassing for me looking back. I was not a great concert goer cos i did not like much of what was about at the time i started getting into music. I just wish i was a concert goer early 70's. my list would have been pages long. Looking back if i had my time again to revisit any of those concerts probably the Marillion, Bjork, Gong, Pink Floyd gigs.
Not including the different one offs at various Festivals
Emerson, Lake & Palmer [Manchester Apollo/Royal Albert Hall] Bjork [Sheffield Arena/Cambridge Corn Exchange/Glastonbury] Hawkwind [Sheffield City Hall three times] Gong [Sheffield Boadwalk] Pink Floyd [Earls Court] Yes [Manchester Apollo/Sheffield City Hall] Marillion [Sheffield City Hall Twice/Reading Festival] Genesis [Birmingham NEC/Roundhay Park] Depeche Mode [Sheffield City Hall twice] Kraftwerk [Leicester Uni] Tangerine Dream [Sheffield City Hall] Gordon Giltrap [Rockingham Arms, Rotherham]
Getting remarried i was forced to go watch some right crap that i think ill pass on telling you of LOL

Mine will be far worse. I’m just not a social mixer, so concerts are something I rarely do and always regret booking.
I saw Hazel O’Connor about a dozen times in 1979/80. DuranDuran, Flock of Seagulls and Icehouse were her supports The Clash in 81? just to keep my brother happy Saw Mary Black 2 or 3 times 92-95ish Springsteen in 2012? Mary Chapin Carpenter 3 times around 2013-17
I just don’t see the attraction in sitting (or worse, standing) amongst a load of sweaty strangers who can’t behave, listening to performances less good than on album, through a PA system in a lousy acoustic. Then you have to travel and attend at a time someone else chose.
Why do any of that when I can have a better performance and better sound in my own home and with no other people there to spoil it. I can also choose when and for how long I enjoy, as well as choose the playlist. Live performances are overrated AFAIC. I don’t even like live albums. They sound worse and the applause drives me nuts.

I know what you mean about Live albums. They are generally patched together from various venues. They never present you with the true feel of an actual band gig. No mistakes of technical itches evident. I only buy them for discography completeness.
