Talking crazy box sets here:
like the recent NUCLEUS monster set.
like the 40 cd Proggladan set of 70s Swedish scene
like the josef Skrzek box set.
Who is buying these expensive luxuries?
The people who put them out - how are they making profit on it all?

You have the Esoteric then.
Repertoire: Nucleus Live At The BBC boasts nearly 14 hours of material spanning 1970-91. Almost four hours of that content documents the legendary founding line-up, featuring Chris Spedding (guitar), Karl Jenkins (keys, oboe), Brian Smith (saxes), Jeff Clyne (bass) and John Marshall (drums). The set is annotated by Ian Carr discographer/All About Jazz contributor Roger Farbey. Aside from The Pretty Redhead (Hux, 2003), this is the first collection of BBC Nucleus and is assembled from numerous private collections and the BBC itself.
Over 13 hours of music expertly remastered and restored by Eroc, collated from such seminal shows as Top Gear, Sounds of the 70s and Jazz in Britain A decades’ spanning 12CD set comprising music and interviews drawn from BBC radio "
Nucleus is mainly too jazzy for me, especially the early. I'd really only be interested in the 2 cds with Allan Holdsworth.
I think Caravan box is 30 cds.
Or the old Gentle Giant box.
How many in the VDGG?

Yes Esoteric. Im was only interested in the four Swirly releases & the later 'LABYRINTH' album with NORMA WINSTONE on vocals. She sounds great a bit like CLEO LAINE. But after that na.
VDGG set has 17 CD/3 DVD
Re: GENTLE GIANT, i wanted that 'UNBURIED TREASURE 30 CD set but the price is crazy. I only wanted the early to mid 70's live shows.
