Andre, can you ride for this?:
Sinfield/MacDonald symphprog (first 4 lps) '69-71 including the transitory "Islands" lineup with Wallace,Boz and Collins
the Bruford/Wetton (Cross/Muir/etc.) lps early-to-mid 70s , their so-called "proto-prog-metal era". '73 "Larks Tongues..." to "Red" '74
Levin & Belew "Discipline" '81 to '84 "Three of a Perfect Pair " (I call this their Americanized period)
90s "Thrak" '95 -

Soz Baggs never saw this Post. Not interesurd in 1980's CRIMBO so know noffink abart em painfull 80's. Not sure what you are asking. As for Jammie Muir he was only on LARKS TONGUES IN ASPIC cos he fucked off to some monistary somewhere in Scotland. No early line up per LP was the same

1969- IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING. Ground breaking Progressive LP, word has it that people went more mad over CRIMBO than they did the ROLLING STONES at Hyde Park - FRIPP/McDONALD/LAKE/GILES/SINFIELD
1970 - IN THE WAKE OF POSEIDON - Still carries that CRIMBO sound but not as big and slightly more technical - FRIPP/LAKE/GILES/GILES/TIPPETT/COLLINS/HASKELL/SINFIELD - LAKE was gone around a month prior to the LP's release.
1970 - McDONALD & GILES - Including this cos its such a crossover in style from IN THE COURT to IN THE WAKE OF POSEIDON, Excellent filler between the two & very underrated LP.
1970 - LIZARD - My fav CRIMBO LP, Superb in every respect. This is serious prog LP and a very large step away from their 2nd LP - FRIPP/COLLINS/HASKELL/McCULLOCH/SINFIELD - JON ANDERSON Best ever singing on here as guest.
1971 - ISLANDS - Another cracker getting more tchnical but not as technical as LIZARD if you know what i mean, certainly a new phase in direction - FRIPP/COLLINS/WALLACE/SINFIELD, TIPPETT is on here but only a guest
1973 - LARK's TONGUES IN ASPIC - Complete new sound, more aggressive and loud a sound im not very keep on - CROSS/FRIPP/WETTON/BRUFORD/MUIR
1974 - STARLESS & BIBLE BLACK - More toned down, easy going sound but everything about CRIMSON seems to be lost to me - CROSS/FRIPP/WETTON/BRUFORD
1974 - RED - Suppose its pretty much the same thing really FRIPP/WETTON/BRUFORD. This LP though has a few old CRIMBO member guesting -
As a side note, Not many bands sounded like KING CRIMSON with exception to JONESEY. If you have their 'NO ALTERNATIVE' Theres a track called "HEAVEN" This sounds so much in the style of 'STARLESS & BIBLE BLACK' era
