I quite like the look of the Wharfedals reissues. The Mission looks lovely too. I’m never going to get used to 2022 pricing though.

The original '778' Intergra'turd was the precursor to the Cyrus One.

I still like the design of the 778 and first Cyrus one best

What, with flexi plastic top and flimsy mains switch? The paint wore off the knobs as well and ten years on, many of them looked terrible (we had some returned with knackered RCA sockets which had been abused too many times. Hell knows what nearly forty year old ones would be like.
The performance and sound became less scrappy and thin as time went on and the last ones with proper cases and control knobs could sound really good, even the One if it wasn't pushed (it was a hard clipper). The Two really came into its own and competed with the new wave of several hundred quid integrateds once a PSX was added (I felt it gave the sound more authority on the music we played). Cyrus then went into stiffening their dealer contracts and my store became independent, so I lost touch with the Cyrus 8 onwards.. Too many memories of our sales director all but forcing us to sell more Cyrus so he could get a free Skiing holiday with his big-ego compatriots from other dealers...

I have to disagree on sound. The metal case ones lost the magic. I have to say I think there is a lot in not having a metal case improving sound.
I accept the older ones shed paint on the knobs, but the design looks 1000% nicer. I’ve had minters too, so they don’t all end up tatty.
My knowledge doesn’t extend beyond the mk2 Cyrus one and two though. Some people rate the later stuff, but I’ve never been drawn to it.
