I have great respect for the group and the first 7 lps (discounting Magnificent Moodies).
But what THEN became of them I find inconceivable - yet it IS conceivable since it certainly did happen.
The downhill slide started bigtime with '78 Octave. '81 we got Long Distance Voyager (which, to give credit IS half-tracks good.) So you thought they would rebound. No such hope. This started their ugly descent to slurpy rpomance-pop for women.
Yes, Moody Poos totally jettisoned their male fan base.

Present Other Side of Life Sur La Mer
Keys of Kingdom
seems every 3 years they take another poo. (And Hayward's solo lps being just as slurpy)

'99 Strange Times December ( a sleepy Christmas album for foxsake!) I can't believe it that the talented Moraz was in on some of these sonic atrocities.

If you were to make a mix disc of the better tracks from the last 4/5 (shitty-shit) albums, I would choose these:
English Sunset Here comes the weekend Breaking point Miracle The One Swallow Strange Times Nothing changes In the bleak midwinter

Its easy equation really. Forget about the first LP with Denny Laine. Forget about the LP's released on their then new Threshold Label which leaves you with just Three excellent LP's of quality.
Days of Future Passed (1967) In Search of the Lost Chord (1968) On the Threshold of a Dream (1969)
I did not like any LP's from nay band released on the Threashold with exception the ASGEARD - IN THE REALM OF

It seems they went down hill after Pinder jumped ship. Obviously his contributions as composer and keyboard player were crucial. It was mostly Hayward and Lodge after that. I do like all the Classic 7 albums but there were diminishing returns especially 7th Sojourn. Strong up to A Question Of Balance.

Trapeze had one important member came from uvver band - I forget who. Glen Hughes fucked off to joing DEEP PURPLE as Glovers replacement. I don't know TRAPEZE after 1972 so wouldnt know who came afterwards.
