not including LIVE (not that easy, is it.) There was not many early Double albums anyway, you usually got half studio half live to make up the set like PINK FLOYD 'UMMAGUMMA' & THE SOFT MACHINE 'SIX'.. JULIAN TREATMENT 'A TIME BEFORE THIS' was a double but in the USA was condenced down to make a single LP hence will sound inferior. WARM DUST 'AND IT CAME TO PASS' THE WHO 'TOMMY' (1/4-2/3) Auto changer friendly APHRODITES CHILD '666' (If you wanna class it as a Brit album)

Beatles, The White Album. Hendrix, Electric Ladyland (US / Brit). Who, Quadrophenia. Pink Floyd, The Wall. Yes, Tales Of Topographic Oceans. (not sure if I would class it as good). Kinks, Everybody's In Showbiz (but it's half live).

Have to agree about TFTO. It's the part of Yes' back catalogue that I like to pretend never actually happened.
Some doubles that come to mind:
ELP - Works Vol. 1 Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street XTC - English Settlement

Exile On Main Street SUCKS.
nO WAY IT CAN GO ON A BEST OF LIST.
i CANNOT UNDERSTAND PEEPS FASCINATION WITH THIS.
the same-yness that runs throughout this is DEEP. 20 minute EP is all you need. Not cocking double lp, crissake.
