By "regret" I mean you did not buy it. Next day you come back to the store and it's gone.

I let a Unison Research amp go in Cash Converters but it was £450. Still plenty money in it, but hardly thrift store. I have usually bought anything cheap I’ve seen. I just can’t resist. I’ve had plenty regrets logging stuff home though, because I can’t drive.

A Beocentre 2200 for £25. I always thought they performed and sounded quite good actually (the X25 speakers used to be a real bargain but they're not sleepers any more) but the killer here is that the MMC5 cartridge if in good basic nick as most Beocartridges can be due to little use, is worth far more on its own than the entire Beocentre...

Robin Marshall hand tuned every single pair of Audiomaster 3/5A's (selecting crossover caps and so on, measuring the exact value of every single one. Not sure Rogers ever did this and is a Rogers 3/5A ever blew a driver, they just sent another out. Robin insisted on the pair of speakers coming back so they could be matched properly - KEF were a nightmare with the B110 as they varied so much and the 3/5A only used samples at the far end of a tolerance curve apparently.
No charity shops like this around here sadly and Cash Converters has long gone to be replaced by a Vape shop which also closed its doors some months back.

Well there is no charity shop bargains around here anymore either. I just do no see the attraction with those 'LS3/5a' when you can buy better sounding small Hi-Fi speakers. ffks they wernt even designed for full range Hi-Fi use anyway. These little Castles i use that are about the size of 'LS3/5a' sound miles better to my ears. Silly fads.
