Will you just sell to a dealer, or are you actually selling to punters? I can’t imagine you putting up with the latter. I know I couldn’t.

It’s bloody heaving out there, so good luck. It seems like all the dregs are out in force today. I was forced to go out because I had a CT scan, otherwise I’d be avoiding others like the plague.
I also read today that China lifting all travel restrictions might lead to new strains of vaccine-resistant Covid hitting the rest of us. I’m avoiding as many people as I can this year.

So,new vinyl sales have beat CD sales roundly now. I wonder if those records bought are actually played and if so, what on?

Im not sure a lot of people actually play them tbh, silly coloured vinyl, Picture discs etc tell me they dont, ive heard a lot of people saying they buy them because tey just want to own the vinyl edition.. Looking at a lot of cassic Rock titles they are now out of press & whats left are fetching a lot. Their doesnt seem to be repressings ! Im short of a few LP's i ferked up with and missed out on in 2015, Im worried im not gonna be able to get them anytime soon. Silly if they dont repress, everyone knows 70's classic rock is the industries bread & butter. I can tell you now that Original pre Digital Pressings sound different to new Pressings. Ive gone with the new ones because of my OCD wanting perfect condition. However my Amp doesnt like them but does the old. Ive decided not to persue a modern phonostage because the subbon in me wont leave vintage hence im now on the lookout for another Ferrograph amp, i used the last one with new pressings & that was fine so its down to this amps Phono stage, i even used a CD player with that amps Aux without any attenuation. |

We will wait until we get new strains and blame other countries. People here are just too stupid to see it. If anyone comes to deliver groceries or post, I always wear a mask to answer the door. They always ask if I have covid these days because it would never occur to them that I’d still be taking precautions. The threat hasn’t gone. It’s just their need to conform and be seen as the same as the other sheep that stops them from seeing it and protecting themselves. Over 2 million in the UK have got long Covid and over 200,000 are already dead. In America it’s claimed over 2 million lives and yet nobody takes even basic precautions. New strains will remain a threat until a vaccine than targets parts other than spike proteins is given to all. That won’t happen anytime soon because people are just accepting it and killing off old, weak, sick, immuno-compromised people is music to the ears of capitalist governments. Just wait til they see the ongoing cost of long covid. Their response will be to dismantle free healthcare. Governments of the world are in the pockets of big business and the voters are just too dumb to realise, let alone do something about it. |
