One thing that gets my back up second to door to door carol singing at crimbo is Pangangaluluwa on all Hallows eve. Sprits of dead people coming alive is utter superstition but at least the kids have fun.

THE POWER (2020)
Its London 1974 and Liz Truss has fucked-up the British economy. Blackouts are the call of the day.
Valentine is a chit of a girl with Cockney accent. Parentless, brought up in a religious girl's fuckhole. Here she arrives for first day as trainee nurse at Royal London infirmary. The head matron has it in for Val - for no real reason - and straight off the bat puts her on nightshift. The massive, old,labyrinthine infirmary in nigh empty - the patients having been evacuated to another hospital. There's just three other nurses, a lechy security guard ,3 babies and 3 men dying on life-support. The only lights are from generators and just the operating theatre and baby-room (whatchamacallit) are lit.
This actress, Rose Williams is the perfect fit in the role of Val cos she has that continual worried look that's very effective.
Film is a slow-boiler - basically no effects - yet holds the suspense and attention.
Director was on the job.
(I saw this a while back and I think I gave it a revue here. Maybe even called it shit.
So which is true? Am I just fucking youse all about?

I is not up on movies too much only the selected era im obsessed with like always. Anyone that comes with moves out of the 60's/70's i draw a blank. My spare time will always be pumped into music not the box loike.

THE CURSED 2021 excellent but not sure there were pathologists turn of the century,...also he kills the monster with a spike-pit and later an ordinary bullet. So then why all the riggamamortis about the need for silver bullets? (silver from wot Judas got for betraying jesus.)
