Videoton Minimax. My first ever small speaker. Loved them in Richer Sounds, hated then at home. Maybe my amp wasn’t up to it. One day I may try them again The ones I knew had cone tweeters. I heard a later pair in Hungary in the late 80's and they were very pleasant indeed.

Naim IBLs are ridiculously cute and also very capable albeit flawed. Here’s a pic of one next to the giant DBLs. IBL's are refined Kans really and that's what they set out to do. No bass at all really, but the owners loved them for it. The less said about the DBL's the better

I SO wish I could just hear the DBLs. I have no idea what sort of sound they would make.

Nobody else seemed to sell Kef Coda IV. They weren’t the greatest speakers but they were good fir the money.

I’ve seen those but never tried them. Are they any good? I’m thinking are they at Ls3/5a level? I wouldn’t mind doing a full restoration on a a pair. I’m not talking of any mods or pimping. I’d want to make them like new.

Definitely NOT at 3/5A level - and you know my feelings on those, the Falcon ones in particular!!!!!
The Minimax's I knew were similar to but scrappier than, the Keesonic Kub. if you ever see a cheap pair of the latter and the drivers are serviceable, you may like them but bear in mind that when new, the tweeter was set 5db higher than the mids...

I always liked petite girls. I think it’s transferred to speakers!

People might not remember the Boston Acoustics 'A40' they were a great little cheap speaker from the mid '80's
