Not a bad example. Funny how I thought the A60 looked so dated in the 80s and yet I find it so pleasing today.

One thing i cant stand is people that inflate prices. But while ever idiots pay, it inevitably creates a price point for future sales.
Im a fan of the Ferrograph 'F307' amp from the late 60's/Early 70's. You could not give them away at one point, but ever since i used to talk about them a lot on forums, The single brain cell brigade that generally cannot think for themselves started buying them. Now they go for over £100, sometimes a lot more. What does not compute with them tho is you need be bee spending twice that amount on a full rebuild to make them sound good cos as bog standard they will sound crap & 99% chance they will break down as is.

First Castle i ever owned & the second model they ever made [Mid 70's.] Thats not the standard 'Howard' [First Picture]tho Andy, its the Luxury model with the Queen Anne Legs & Veneered Frame Grill. Those Legs just Screw on btw. The Standard version came with a very low level metal stand which was pretty much useless as a stand but the whole reason the stand was bolted on to the bottom is because the Crossover access & Terminal pod is on the bottom of the cabinet. The first picture has been lifted from the Internet. The other two with the lighter cabinets have the metal stand fitted. It was the same with the Mk.1 'CONWAY'. Both the Mk.I 'CONWAY' & 'HOWARD' use big hard wired X Overs with no Resistors. 1970's Castles were 'RICHMOND'/'HOWARD'/'CONWAY'/'KENDAL'

Were they really close to you? Still struggling with memory lapses.
