Seems expensive but that’s only because it’s so unfashionable. Probably worth that really. Never seen or heard them

Good amps, the Pre is the weak link, Those power amps are bigger than they look very deep, you not seen Heatsinks like those, they are real chunksters.. I still preferred the sound of the 'A60' tho but you obviously had more power on Tap, very powerful & can drive super low impedance loads.. in bridged mono gave you staggering power output. Here found a review for ya www.muzines.co.uk/articles/aandr-sa200-power-amp/6316

Thanks for that. Looks better with the cheeks. Just been looking at internal shots. It’s very nicely built.

You don’t see them for sale very often. Always a good sign. I often wonder what would’ve happened if I’d been a bit older at the time I came across the A60. I dismissed it on looks alone and was far too influenced by the mags.
My first proper listen at home was probably only10 years ago, They are such a Rewarding listen, I might never have been a box swapper. I know I could happily live with an A60 and a pair of Elas, JPW P1s, Gale 301s, Dean Altos or Early Monitor Audios.

Aye.. Classics they are. The matching 'T21' Tuner & 'SA60-X' Active power amps were not out at the time i bought mine.. I think i scanned my original A&R Litrature & had it put in AOS Library, The 'SA-X60' Active stuff too.
I like all those early Monitor Audios up to & including the 'MA-6'
