I’m going to continue with the odd post, simply because I can and I want to. Other misfits can come and go as they please. It’s probably not enough content to call it a forum, so I’ve entitled this place a home for hifi misfits.
Feel free to post, read or ignore. It’s all good.

Not for old farts like me who like to reminisce with real user-knowledge of the gear when brand new that 'you all' regard as brand new despite it being 30 plus years old
This was going to be the last song on this album, but now it's the first - in the hope Andr'e returns (I want to see how the TD150 ends up!!!), I'm going to post the entire album in the music thread...

I hope you do hang in there, Buddy. Forums such as this are badly needed to police some of the distorted bullshit and nonsense that's out there. 'Houdini' anyone?
Apologies for not posting so much recently. Have truly been busy and under some pressure, and am usually fucked most of the time.

Yes, I can’t believe Houdini is being bought for 300 notes. They must cost less than a fiver to make.

The chap who makes them for Arthur isn't a bullshit kind of guy (I've kind of 'known' him for some years now). I suspect he's got piece-work as I had and very much appreciated at the time. Apparently, there's a bit of a reject rate but that may have calmed down now and let's be honest, it's not as if blanket bombing of various sites hasn't been done before, such as being controversial and stirring up the hornets nest (RD and AVI's Ash James before he retired), or posting wonderful reviews all over to gain some kind of instant reputation... Had Funk made, toleranced and finished their products better all through, they probably wouldn't be marketing such an expensive device to keep revenue going If they had built and finished their stuff better, ProJect's mid-line stuff wouldn't have had a chance and Rega would have been looking over their shoulder..

Is that the same guy who’s handled the “PR” on forums for Houdini? As abrasive and OTT as his posts have been, I think Arthur is the one responsible for the ridiculous pricing. Nothing can justify £300 for 2 bits of foam and couple of threaded inserts, no matter what the failure rate or assembly time is. As you say though, it’s nothing new. The fools shelling out £300 deserve all they get.

I'd rather waste £300 on a pair of trainers.

I'd rather waste £300 on a pair of trainers. S. The irony is that if Funk got these made by Indonesian sweat shop workers paid a dollar a day, I’d wager they’d still try and charge £300 for what looks like a minor piece of throwaway packing, This is why the patent is there. It’s simply a legal restraint to stop someone copying them and flogging them for a fiver. And probably still making a decent profit.

Ok then lads, my last post today. I have the system i will be keeping now ive gone full circle & today i recieved my last record on my list. Ive no real need to visit or post on forums anymore now.
I shall not be back before any snidey comment remark to the contrary. Ive left many times before because people have wound me up returning after cool off period but this time i have no need to return.
So chaps take care & hope you get thru this Pandemic safely. Ive been very controversial over the years & never do anything by the book, hopefully ive at least been a bit of a influence on some, if not o well.
Prog on..

I wish you well. Glad your journey has ended happily. I’ve enjoyed your posts for a long time across many forums but everything has a time. Good to have known you, at least online. You’ve opened my eyes to many things, not least the styles you have an eye for. All the best from me.
I’ll likely leave the forum open although not sure how much content there will be without Andre or Dave. Still happy to post dates in my blog and see what else happens.
