Interview with Peter Comeau discussing speaker design and IAG products. Tempted to buy a pair of the 770.
The Mission 770 will be UK made and not in China!!!

Good find. The mission is a looker and British made, so it should do very well. I’ve never really warmed to any of Peter’s designs, but there will be lots of his I haven’t heard,

You mean the original '770' was a looker, However no good buying old according to a couple of clownes on here it's junk, unreliable & guess what dangerous.

They aren’t a million miles apart, aesthetically.

I like the looks of the new one too. Made in UK generally means a price tag to pay for wages

They aren’t a million miles apart, aesthetically. Only an oversized ugly port spoiling the new one

I like the looks of the new one too. Made in UK generally means a price tag to pay for wages Likely won't be Harbeth prices. You anti China hi-fi buyers can't have it both ways. My guess is they will cost around £2K or maybe less.

Two reasons i believe they wont sell many. 1. The Price 2. Look so much like the originals people would do that. Because they will obviously be attracted to people into the old designs. But i suppose New with old looks is no longer Junk, Dangerous or unreliable.

If the price is anything in four figures they will sell very low numbers. I was thinking £999 would be most likely.

If the price is anything in four figures they will sell very low numbers. I was thinking £999 would be most likely. They will sell loads at twice the price. Lintons are £999 plus stands (£1100 with) and those have been big sellers. Anything under £1500 and they will fly of the shelves. Should sound a lot better than the Lintons based on the original models.

I really doubt that. They look like a £249 stand mounter from the 1980s. Why would anyone pay £2k? The success of the Linton was the magic 3-figure price. Any higher and they’d have sold a boat load less.
Time will tell though. I only hope they don’t get greedy.

I just dont see the logic in buying these when you can get an original pair for £250. My mind boggles when people talk about £1500 as if its peanuts. Do people actually live on the never never credit?
