Even though i constantly get the urge to throw the lot in the bin because i know deep down at the bottom of it i know im not happy because my records are not original & the Turntable is something i just dont want to keep any longer, i am trying to rebuild the definative Progressive record collection seen as my collection of 1st issues was taken away from me years ago. Today with the VDGG fiasco has really put the shit in the fan. This collection is to be small & managable Progressive late 60's to 1972, If anything sounds too much like it something that could have been made in 1973 i wont entertain. I wont be having foreign bands in it even though i do have LIGHT 'STORY OF MOSES' which will most probably be passed on anyway. rules are rules besides foreign bands are inferior compared to UK bands. Prog is a British invention even though some people come up with utter bollox to try justify to to the contrary. Anyone else have very carefully selected collections?

123 wernt prog & the first CLOUDS LP was 1969.
Thing is you have to know what attributes makes up Prog because in the late 60's even the very early 70's bands were still crossing over which made it not that easy to call a band a truly Progressive act. CLOUDS 'SCRAPBOOK' LP is a very crossover orientated album in the vein of say FIRE 'MAGIC SHOEMAKER' & THE END 'INTROSPECTION'
I know what constitutes Proto/Crossover & Full out prog of which the latter holds a large percentage of utter rubbish. Ill say it again 1969-1972 the the best years

Decided to let Vinyl go completely. Packed the rest of the LP's up ready for the next Record fair in our town, He says he will take them. Money & Shit Re-issues sealed the coffin for good.
