Oi cocksuckers!
Just want to re-emphasize wot a good friend ol' Baggs is.
Yesterday I revisited that storage lockup complex I towd youse all about.
There was nothing there for me (I got just 2 lps - more on that later) and I didn't expect much since I cleaned it out last time.
I went just to help my friend.
You see he got kicked out of his apartment and his record collectro was all confiscated by the Communists. So he has to start from scratch.
I was supposed to drive him there but his foot swelled up so I had to go alone and find him the jazz records he is after (I know ferkall about jazz, so I phoned him from there.)
Well the day was fucked: started to rain and I could not replace the car windshield wipers (I doubt even the ass-fucked Christ knows the secret to replacing wipers) So I had to go pedaling BY BIKE some 5 kilometers UPHILL in the drizzle. And myself being 70 yahre owd anorl.
THAT'S wot a dependable friend I is, cocksuckers. Would you do the same? Like fuck you would.
So I found him some (apparent) jazzbo crack. Got him some black Verve labels . Bit scratched, but like for only five dollah each Verve, cummon.... And two Jerry Mulligan lps that my fren will cream over.
For myself I got only:
CROSBY & nASH -WIND ON WATER
eLMER BERNSTEIN - SUMMER AND SMOKE (Bernstein did over 200 film scores , like the wonderful score for To Kill A Mockingbird.) With Summer & Smoke this is the first time ever that I bought a lp FOR THE FIRST 5 NOTES - so powerful, so serious and majestic (beats that Beethoven thing any day of the week.) Never heard just 5 orchestral notes sounding such dignity, threat and...I don't know wot else. Ol' Elmer was a genius composer
LARRY CORYELL & KHAN
