Suckers:
Today went to a record show AND storage locker,
For grand total of $75 I got these lps:
Deep Purple -shades of (on Tetragammon label) Ponty - king kong (I beleive his first) Kornog - 7 winds Horslips - book of invasions (UK) 3 Mustapha 3 - shopping (I love this playful ,funky Balkan folk) Argent - nexus (diff cover to the UK) Shawn Phillips - furthermore I think his best, 2 members of Quatermass guest) Lyman -taboo ( exottica. fuck! I already had this!) tommy Boyce Bobby Heart (their last lp and folk say its where they finally get a bit psych. Like fuck they do! Of course - the duo that wrote most of the Monkees songs
Shadowfax sealed Pauline Julien - a moi plaisir 7th wave -scifi Gentle Giant - freehand June Tabor - ashes & diamonds UJK richie havens -
curved air - air cut moody blues - in search of lost chord procol Harum -exotic birds & fruit oldfield/bedford - orchestral tubular bells (uk)
and I gots these FREE: Fox - tales of illusion glam rock but not as bad as it could be Chris de Burgh - spanish train ( common as muck here, but I never seen this UK press, plain black & white) Los Olimarenos - I Qui Pena! (no idea but URUGUAY press '72) Its a Beautiful Day - carnegie hall Guess Who - Canned Wheat (their best), Rockin', American Woman Leo Ferre -disque d'or

Yusuf/Cat Stevens - King of a Land Natalie Merchant - Keep Your Courage Jenny Lewis - Joy'All (Superb album - gotta be an album of the year contender).
Just to prove that great music is still being made.

All recent releases. All good. Fear not, O bewildered one......you might find one or two of them in a thrift store near you in about twelve years time.

Acquired a half-speed mastered copy of 'Blind Faith', a purchase which was long overdue. I had one go AWOL many moons ago, quite possibly loaned out and never returned.
It's just an absolutely stunning piece of vinyl. Superb frequencies, and an amazingly quiet and flawless record. I had been looking to replace it like-for-like with an original Polydor first issue but most of what I came across was just overpriced, dog-eared shite. This latest version just absolutely wipes the floor with the original, but I must also concede that my kit is light years ahead of what I had back then and that might account for some margin of that improvement.
Without doubt the best slab of vinyl that I've bought in years.

Without doubt the best slab of vinyl that I've bought in years. I only have one half speed master, and it’s Born To Run. The recording quality isn’t great on any format, but at least I’ve got the best vinyl version available. I really love This album and Datkness on The edge Of Town but I haven’t played them in a while.
