cocksucker!
Bad and good day at the chazza terday:
Got Funkadelic - feed your mind and your ass will follow at one chazza for 3 dollah
At the other - where I haven't found nuffink since Crimbo - this retard gets a FUCKING 30 SECOND LEAD ON ME and hits the winners: Black Sabbath - first Alice Cooper - welcome to my nightmare Anderson - Olias of Sunhillow XTC - mummer
But mainly he was happy with some 10 electro-dance shits like Depeche Blowed
I get NUFFINK!
Almost shit my ass though - saw a longtime want of mine, Small Faces "We Are the Small Faces. This was only released Canada & US with beautiful outdoors cover piccy. Its better than any UK comp since it has most of the PSYCH tracks on it.
Of course - NO RECORD!
Fuck this hobby and fuck you too.
Oh yeah - King Crimson In Wake of Poseidon ...no sleeve

If you want these records desperately I suggest pay the going rate on line for copies in decent shape. Don't think I would pay what they want for Black Sabbath first swirl these days hence I put up with reissues. There is a possibility that Warner in US will do AAA versions of Sabbath again. Seems to be an ungoing discussion on forums. BMG seem to own the rights over here now. Wake Of Poseidon I recommend the original mix (not Steve Wilson) on Panegyric (from tapes approved by Mr Fripp/Wilcox). There is a great sounding recent reissue of Mummer on Partridge's Ape Records.

Were talking wallace here who wont pay anything if he can help it
I used to be a big Vinyl aficionado & i do love the sound of Vinyl but i would never touch it again with a barge pole & certainly would never ever touch present pressings ever again.
Im constantly angry with myself for wasting so much money in the past on Record players & vinyl when i should have just stopped being so stubborn & stuck with CD from when it came out, all im doing now is buying old CD editions & hankering over early generation players.

Y’know I think just paying the going rate takes away the sport.
Sure, I get that it’s almost risk-free, and for many it will be a fuss-free means to the music. I tend to view this in the same way I do Hi-Fi: There are many roads to happiness and we are all different in our needs. Like Wallace, I need a bargain as well as the item I desire. Others just want the straightest road to get them to their goal. It’s all good whichever road yiu take.

You have to buy the right pressings. Many of the reissues are not good and pressing quality variable. You are in the same boat with CD as you are after the uncompressed masterings from up to 1995. Most old CD players I don't rate with the exception of Philips / Marantz designs based on the 1541A chip. I have a 1989 CD65II SE and it is fantastically musical. Anyway with vinyl reissues I only buy reissues with a known mastering provenance and mostly AAA. I see no satisfaction in paying a few pounds for noisy vinyl and trashed sleeves. Everyone wants money for anything they think is collectable these days even Charity Shops. Fortunately i have a lot of vinyl that was bought on release or purchased used before prices got silly.

Here are two that arrived today from Vinyl Me Please. Both AAA. Sound quality is top notch cut at Sterling Sound. Mono version. Good pressing in spite of orange vinyl. Always loved Pickett's version of Hey Jude from this album. Sleeves have feel and style of US original pressings so these look and feel pretty authentic.

But the thing with those early CD's is no one wants them hence they are cheap.
Yep has to be a Philips CDM1/2 TD1540/1541 Machine. I think the machine you mentioned was CDM4?
One of the best BEATLES cover i heard was SHIRLEY BASSEY doing SOMETHING.

I’d heard it can be noisy. I have a handful where I had no choice. Some silver grey and some clear. No noise so far but I’m wary. Do I need to be?

I only buy when there is no choice but the above record plays as good as any black disc. Certain colours as well as splatter tend to be more problematic.
